Background

Enrico Monfrini founded the Firm in 1978, for which he is of Counsel since 2015.

After praticing with prominent Geneva law firms, Enrico Monfrini founded the Firm in 1978, where he practiced international business law and complex civil and criminal proceedings, as well as international arbitration.


Since 1999, Enrico Monfrini is renown internationally for acting on behalf of foreign States victims of corruption, for whom he recovered in excess of 2 billion US dollars.

Enrico Monfrini was invited by the World Bank and the United Nations against Drugs and Organized Crime in the context of their joint Stolen Asset Recovery initiative to sit in the expert committee 'Friends of StAR', as well as in the Expert Committee for the drafting of the Technical Guide to the United Nations Convention against Corruption. He regularly participated in the 'Lausanne Seminars' organized by the Swiss Department of Foreign Affairs to discuss cross-border asset recovery proceedings.

 Enrico Monfrini has been recognized for several years by Who’s Who of Asset Recovery Lawyershe is renowned for his “remarkable abilities” and is famed for his “strategic acumen” in cases involving the pursuit of assets illegally obtained by former heads of state. He has expert knowledge of assisting foreign governments with asset recovery matters.

Enrico Monfrini is now of Counsel to the Firm in the context of complex cross-border proceedings, in particular asset tracing and recovery on behalf of foreign States.
